DAY 0: JOMO KENYATTA AIRPORT & TRANSFER TO NAIROBI
We will leave from Nairobi for the first destination not later than 6 a.m.
If your flight lands later, it will be necessary to stay one night in Nairobi. You can use this time visiting the city and its main attractions: David Sheldrick Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum. Or you can just rest and refresh up after your flight.
In case you decide not to visit the city, you will meet your guide/driver in the evening, on the day before safari.

DAY 1: SAMBURU
After breakfast this morning, leave Kenya’s capital city and travel to Samburu National Reserve, passing through equator line.
This remote and dramatic landscape is also home to the local Samburu people whose age-old traditions, including the famed ‘singing wells’ are as much a part of the land as the wildlife. Here you will see the rare Grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, somali ostrich, gerenuk and oryx, here called the Special Five.

DAY 2: SAMBURU
Wake early for another full day in this enchanting location.
Your days here will be spent marveling at the beauty of this breathtaking region, rising early with the sun for game drives followed by a full brunch prepared for you at camp.
End with an extraordinary sundowner on a hill, where you will fall in love with Africa once again, looking at this touching spectacle of colors.
DAY 3: SOLIO RANCH
Continue on by road to Solio Ranch, a special private reserve nestled between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. It’s defined as one of the most successful private rhino conservation reserves in Kenya, where black and white rhinos graze in harmony with other ungalates.
The area is fenced meaning that game is dense and easier to find than in a more wilderness setting. The slightly cooler climate will be an ideal break from the hotter weather in Samburu for some.

DAY 4: LAKE BOGORIA
We leave early this morning, heading to Lake Bogoria.
We will arrive for lunch.
This is the best place where to see millions of lesser flamingos, migrated from the nearby Lake Nakuru and to watch geysers coming from the depth of the earth.
You can enjoy your stay having a bath in the natural thermal pool at the lodge.
DAY 5: YOUR JOURNEY ENDS
It’s time to bid farewell to the bush.
After breakfast and a morning game drive you will go back to Nairobi in time to connect with your international flight or domestic flight to the coast for a Beach Holiday: you may choose to stay at our exclusive Lions House Wellness Boutique Hotel.
EXTENSION
For those ones who have more time and would like to reduce the distance between Nairobi and Samburu National Reserve, we suggest to add an extra night in Aberdare National Park, as first destination, and take the opportunity to visit one of the most scenic parks in the country.
You can also add another extra night at Lake Naivasha to reduce the distance between Lake Bogoria and Nairobi (6 hour drive). This will give you the chance to do a thrilling trekking in the gorges of Hell’s Gate National Park or to the summit of Mount Longonot on the last but one day. Before to go back to Nairobi, on the last day, you will have an enchanting boat trip on the calm waters of the lake, to see hippos and fish eagles close up. The boat will stop along the shores of Crescent Island where you will do a walking safari among zebras, wildebeest, antilopes and giraffes. The best way to end your safari!
