DAY 0: JOMO KENYATTA AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO NAIROBI

We will leave from Nairobi for the first destination not later than 6 a.m.

We recommend you to stay one night in Nairobi the day before your safari. You can use this time visiting the city and its main attractions: David Sheldrick Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum. Or you can just rest and refresh up after your flight.

You will meet your guide/driver on the following day , leaving for the first destination.

We wish to suggest you some accomodation you would love:

DAY 1: SAMBURU

After breakfast this morning, leave Nairobi and cross the equator line travelling to Samburu National Reserve, a remote and pristine protected area, far away the mass market tourism. Along the road you will see the majestic Mount Kenya, the beautiful landscape among the Aberdare Range and vaste coffee plantations.

You will see then the green mountains give way to arid and fascinating vaste plains. Samburu is your typical enchanting African landscape that attracts a wide variety of game including the Grevy zebra, the biggest zebra in Africa. Leopard can also be seen wondering through the tall grasses in pursuit of a meal.

You will reach Samburu National Reserve in the late morning.

After a first game drive en route to your camp, you will stop for lunch.

Afternoon game drive and dinner at the camp.

We have selected the best accomodation for you. You can choose between:

DAY 2: SAMBURU

Wake early for another full day in this enchanting location.

Your days here will be spent marveling at the beauty of this breathtaking region, rising early with the sun for game drives followed by a full brunch prepared for you at camp.

End with an extraordinary sundowner on a hill, where you will fall in love with Africa once again, looking at this touching spectacle of colors.

DAY 3: SOLIO RANCH

After a short morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, en route to the exit, we continue on by road to Solio Ranch, a special private reserve nestled between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. It’s defined as one of the most successful private rhino conservation reserves in Kenya, where black and white rhinos graze in harmony with other ungalates.

The area is fenced meaning that game is dense and easier to find than in a more wilderness setting. The slightly cooler climate will be an ideal break from the hotter weather in Samburu for some.

We have selected the best accomodation for you. You can choose between:

DAY 4: LAKE NAIVASHA

After a morning game drive, head to Lake Naivasha.

The lodge where you’ll stay is not only a lodge, but a conservation centre and a museum as well. You will stay at the former holiday house of George and Joy Adamson, those conservationists who raised Elsa the lioness. Re-kindle the memories of Born Free by watching the documentary, The Joy Adamson Story and visiting  the museum.

After lunch, let your guide take you to the boat to have the opportunity to spot hippos, waterbuks and fish eagles hunting small fishes.

Marvel at the beauty of the sunset while you are still navigating on the calm waters.

At night several zebras, giraffes and antilopes will come to the lodge for grazing, just in front of the restaurant. Amazing!

This is the accomodation we have selected for you

DAY 5: MASAI MARA

This morning wake up early and transfer to one of the ‘Seven New Wonders of the World. The Masai Mara, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, is arguably one of the most famous game reserves in the world.

After lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive among the open grassy plains in search of cheetahs on a hunt or lions sleeping.

In the evening, you will dine under the star, for a private and exclusive bush dinner.

We have selected the best accomodation for you. You can choose between:

DAY 6: MASAI MARA

Full day at Masai Mara today.

Over two million zebra and wildebeest migrate north from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and roam through the Mara from July through October annually.

But please don’t forget that this stunning reserve is teeming with other game and is just as exciting as other times of the year.

DAY 7: JOUR JOURNEY ENDS

It’s time to bid farewell to the bush.

After breakfast and a morning game drive you will go back to Nairobi in time to connect with your international flight or domestic flight to the coast for a Beach Holiday: you may choose to stay at our exclusive Lions House Wellness Boutique Hotel.
